We tend to not want everything to be super formulaic. Unless you're waiting for a helm, in which case, HAHA! Jokes on you! Seriously though, is there some reason for not putting helms/boots on SPA? ![]() You also don't have to do dailies to unlock those 522s, just a week or two of LFR. Getting to Exalted is almost purely vanity, since it's just a tabard and some shoulders that don't even have a socket. You hit Friendly week 1, and Honored shortly after that. ![]() Most of the good SPA rep rewards are frontloaded at Neutral to Honored at least. Plus tying it to a faction helps make it feel like it's a part of the world and not just a static tracking system. Instead of implementing yet another currency and 'boss kill tracking system' to allow you to fill in the gaps, your access to items is determined purely by killing bosses. VP items are intended to fill gaps when your boss kills don't give you the items you need. The Shado-Pan Assault is technically a rep, but the limit is determined by boss kills. Yeah I think that's something we learned from and agree with to a point. but you've left me with no options other than dailies to get rep reliably in virtually every case. And what I want to do in many cases is gain rep. The Catching Up to 5.3 blog assumes you want to gear up as quickly as possible. This isn't a question of what you can and can't do, the only question is how you want to do it. If you want an absolutely reliable way to see an item, do something, and get that item no questions asked, you can do dailies to gain rep and get them for VP, but it's not going to be the quickest way. Sure you could still get some bad rolls and it may take you a bit longer, but there are many who (with a bunch of Elder Charms, aka bonus rolls) are able to completely gear up for ToT within two weeks. You can't discount the entire idea of running 5.0 LFR to gear up because drops are random. how exactly? You can't rely on LFR drop rates even after the increase that was provided, and the majority of players don't have 50k in gold to dump on every alt that they hit max lvl with to buy crafted items. But whatever, item upgrades are coming back in 5.3 (and they're cheaper) so that'll be a nice way to dump some VP.Īnd you recommend that people get the 480 ilvl required to get into T15's LFR. Shado-Pan Assault rep is gained by killing bosses, not doing dailies. Why? Because I refuse to do xmillion dailies, or farm a million warscouts on all of my alts. ![]() All of my alts are valor capped but you know what I can't do? SPEND IT. They provide a specific experience, and we provide a different one even though we're both card games on the surface. They're talking about the reputation needed to purchase the valor gear. Being able to play a card during your opponent's turn is fundamental to a trading card game, and we find that Hex players appreciate that level of control and interactivity. Plus, the depth of Hex when it comes down to PvP, is exceeding the limits of Hearthstone without putting up too much complexity. Via the in-game mail system you can send cards to friends or perform C-O-D delivery. Our auction house allows players to trade every single item in the game for either gold or platinum, our premium currency. Hex brings all of that interaction back into the digital world. Playing physical TCGs was always about trading cards with your friends or selling them. You merely collect all cards and that's it. Hearthstone is a great game but it isn't necessarily a TCG. The successful launch of our first PvE campaign chapter again convinced us that we're making something that players have wanted for a long time. Today, our concerns are more on technical sides, but with Gameforge as a partner with a lot of experience in the market, we felt very confident to start this journey. The support and trust that we got from our new community - and still get today- is overwhelming and humbling. No matter how sure you are of your project, there's always this fear of rejection or that people won't love “your baby.”Our concerns were annihilated after the great success of the Kickstarter campaign. The Kickstarter itself really put Hex, our team, and me out there. We started creating the game that we as TCG players always wanted to have. We successfully published physical TCGs for years and knew there was demand for a real TCG experience digitally in a video game. Trading card games (TCGs) have been around forever but there is no game that better combines RPG elements with the depth and freedom of gameplay.
